During a physical examination you can withdraw consent at any point by voicing that you are no longer comfortable to proceed. 

A chaperone (female member of our staff) is available to be in the room during your examination if this is what you would prefer. Please let us know and we are happy to request their attendance before proceeding with the exam. 

We often have medical learners with us (medical students and residents in Family Medicine and Ob/Gyn). They are learning examination skills through observation and practice and we will always ask you if you are comfortable with their observation or participation before your exam. It is your right to refuse this, and your care will not be compromised in any way.
