Our office is taking precautions to minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19. We follow guidance provided by the BC Centre for Disease Control.
Your doctor may recommend a virtual or telephone initial visit or follow up to minimize contact if it is appropriate. Unfortunately, virtual and telephone visits are not suitable for all patients as we may have to perform a physical examination.
If an in-person visit is recommended, we ask that you perform a self check prior to your visit. Please do not come into the office if you have any new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19 or are required to self-isolate. Instead, please phone the office to arrange to meet virtually or reschedule your visit. Symptoms of concern include:
No visitors are allowed into the office at this time (unless necessary to facilitate the patient’s visit). Please note that anyone entering the office is required to wear a mask in accordance with the Provincial Mask Use in Health Care Settings Policy (BCCDC). If you do not have a mask with you, we will provide you with one. You should also practice proper hand hygiene and sanitize your hands upon arrival (hand sanitizer is located at the entrance). Maintain a distance of 2 meters/6 feet from others whenever possible.
All staff are required to perform a daily health check and are required to wear a medical grade mask in any common areas and maintain a distance of 2m/6 ft wherever possible from other people. Proper hand hygiene is mandatory.
